The Coastal Bend Emmaus community would like to ensure every potential pilgrim has the opportunity to experience a walk, regardless of their financial situation. Pilgrims attending the Walk should have some “skin in the game” by investing what they are able to afford.
However, if your pilgrim candidate needs assistance to pay required fees, consider these options.
• The Emmaus Community provides a few scholarships for 50% of the Walk fees each year. These scholarships are awarded early, so turn in your pilgrim application and scholarship application as soon as the pilgrim commits to the Walk dates.
• Contact church clergy. Local churches often support the Emmaus Walks by providing financial assistance.
• Talk to your Fourth Day Reunion Group about providing some assistance.
• Ask fellow Christians to join you in sponsoring your pilgrim.
